15 Years Of Veer Zaara: Reminiscing The Eternal Love

Read Time:5 Minute, 26 Second
When I look back to the idea of love, I find it to be flawless and everlasting. But then I question, is it flawless, is it eternal, is it momentary, or is it forever?  These thoughts remind me of the epitome of eternal love that is not just a rosy idea in itself, but it is the sacrifice, it is loving someone more than you love yourself or love anything else in the world. The love that happened between Squadron Leader Veer Pratap Singh & Zaara Hayaat Khan. The love that was beyond bounds, boundaries & the love that transcended every religion or faith. Let’s reminiscence the idea of love with 15 years of Veer Zaara.

It Takes Courage To Realise Yes It's Love

via

It took them some time to realize they were falling for each other, but when they did that was absolute bliss. It made me fall in love with the idea of love when they realized that ‘Sachhi Mohabbat Zindagi Mein Sirf Ek Baar Hoti hai … Aur jab Hoti hai … Toh koi Bhagwan yah Khuda Usse Nakamyab Nahi Hone Deta’

The Other Person Is Always There For You

via

From the day Veer met Zaara, he was there to protect her from all the odds, be it the depths of valleys or be it her own nation, where he stood for her and was there to protect her as he said: ‘ Sarhad Paar Ek Aisa Shaksh hai … Joh Aapke Liye Apni Jaan Bhi De Dega’

Love Is About Sacrifice & Respect

via

Veer sacrificed his well-established career just to meet a woman across the borders who said she loves him. He chose to hide her identity to safeguard her respect in society. While Zaara broke her marriage, she stood against her family & society to be with an Indian while she was a Pakistani.

It Transcends Every Limit If It's True

via

Veer Zaara crossed borders to live for each other. She moved to his village to fulfill his dream while he spent his life behind bars by not revealing her identity. This can be very well represented with the idea: ‘Woh Kehti Hai Mera Desh Uska Nahi, Phir Kyun Mere Ghar Woh Rehti Hai … Woh Kehti Hai Main Us Jaisa Nahi, Phir Kyun Mujh Jaisi Woh Lagti Hai’.

It Takes Strength To Take Stand For Your Loved One

via

Both Veer and Zaara prove this in the entire movie that it requires a lot of guts to love someone and to make sure that relationship strives to the end. Zaara confessed her feelings to her father and went against him to divorce her husband and marry the love of her life.

You Feel That Connect

via

From the day they met, they had this connection. The connect that even Veer’s parents supported despite her being a Pakistani & Zara’s mother believed in his love when she met him.

You Respect Each Other's Choices & Decisions

via

Whether you feel good about it or not, you just happen to respect your partner’s choices and decisions. Just like Veer, who loved Zaara so much that he did not come between her decision of marrying someone else & just be happy wherever she is.

It Is Not Always The Bed Of Roses

via

The love stories we watch every day are mostly rosy with a lot of romantic songs, but this was indeed real. It had struggles that people face, not only realizing they love someone who’s very far away & they knew it would not be easy & would take a lot of their efforts. But they gave it their all to prove it was true and to revoke the statement: ‘Mohabbat kitaabon mein hoti hai, shayari mein hot i hai, zindagi mein nahi’.

Love Is Easy, Loving Not

via

Falling in the idea of love is easy, but realizing its value & putting in efforts to make it work is not a cakewalk. Veer & Zaara made us realize the value of love.

You Stand Against All Odds

via

Zaara being a Pakistani was enough a reason for Veer to abandon the love but he always stood by her in a way that it didn’t matter to him as a squadron leader to marry a girl belonging to the rival country, all that matter was their love for each other.

The Universe Conspires To Bring You Together

via

“Kaidi Number 786″ was his cell number & he was considered “Allah Ka Banda” while Samya Siddiqui proved as an angel in his life making him meet the love of his life. The sequences in the movie make me believe that if you love someone truly, the universe conspires for you both and will bring you together by the end!

You Live For Each Other's Happiness

via

When Veer came to know about Zaara’s decision, he stood back from confessing his feelings and went ahead to bless her with abundant happiness. In the end, he just wanted her to be happy in her life. Same was the case with Zaara, she never went back to her home, but instead went to live with Veer’s parents, because she knew Veer would be happy if she were here.

You Accept The Other Person In All Ways

via

When you love someone, nothing matters except that person. You love him/her unconditionally and in every possible manner and you accept their perfections with their rare flaws.

The Feeling Is Rare & Beautiful

via

That feeling of true love is a rare and blissful one. You’re lucky if you have someone in your life, with whom you can share everything without thinking twice, with whom you do not hesitate to share a home, a place or a moment together. It’s like two bodies and one soul, striving their way to make this life beautiful.

At last, It Is Meant To Be Forever If It's True

via

From fighting with parents to losing home and even a virtual death, Veer-Zaara came a long way for their love and at last, after 22 years, thanks to their lawyer, they meet each other and that was one of the most beautiful scenes of the movie, not because it was the climax but in that moment showed us how true love never dies and lives eternally, in every possible way and proves its existence, in such a beautiful way!
