How long resetting windows 10 actually takes? You recently ran up into a problem or to re-initialise your old Windows PC, and you pressed reset. Sometimes later it got stuck at certain percentage and you don’t know what to do. You searched on google, and various results came up.
It’s really frustrating, isn’t it? We’ll tell you the whole story from our experiences that how the event went for us.
Even though it also depends upon what you chose between “Keep my files” & “Remove everything”. If you chose “Remove everything” option, it’ll take significantly longer time, but that’s another story. Main reason behind it is actually the hardware. If you’re using SSD or Solid State Drive as boot drive, it’ll take around 20 to 40 mins as windows copying it’s essential files to somewhere else and re-installing it after resetting.
But if you’re using Hard Disk as your bootable drive, then it’ll take 40 mins to 4 hours to complete depending upon your hard drives maximum speed.
So if you’re seeing something and it gets stuck at certain percentage, don’t panic. Be patient. It’ll just take longer time to reset. Just Seat back and relax or take a nap!
