“Grandpa Kitchen”, the most beloved chef who stole hearts and love from all over the world with his unconditional cooking service and skills, passed away on September 27, 2019. The news was as shattering as great his kindness was towards the orphans and poor children.
Narayana Reddy, who started his channel under the name of “Grandpa Kitchen” passed away in his native village in the state of Telangana. He was 73-years-old. The news was shared by a video uploaded on his channel on October 30, 2019.
Giving out calmy vibes, his videos were always shot outdoors in lush green landscapes. He was seen preparing meals on a large scale in enormously huge iron vessels and often he was helped by other youngsters from his village. His channel presently has 6.11 million followers, not only from India but also from other countries like Israel, US, Trinidad and Tobago, and his delectable recipes are appreciated across the globe.
His backyard was the main set for his cooking-spree. Filled with greenery, his videos are still referred to by many cooking-enthusiasts and budding chefs. From ‘Macaroni White Sauce Pasta’ to ‘Traditional Country Chicken Biryani’ to the ‘Biggest Chocolate Cake With Bourbon Biscuits’, Grandpa Kitchen prepared different delicacies from various regions and countries.
The channel was set up by his son, Shrikant Reddy almost two years ago. Since then, it has been capturing Narayana’s vidoes of selfless cooking. His last self-prepared meal was ‘Crispy Potato Fingers’, 1 month ago. Since then, vidoes were being posted of other people preparing the meal because of his deteriorating health.
The bio on his channel read, “We entertain people by cooking food and donate the proceeds to charities. Our goal is to provide basic necessities like food, clothing, school supplies and birthday gifts to the orphans.” He had a patronage page linked to his youtube channel where people from across the world used to donate offerings for the children.
Grandpa Kitchen has lifted smiles on innumerous faces with his generous deeds and entertaining cooking. Although his channel is still running on Youtube and children are being fed, there is not a single follower who won’t miss him.
